I am glad that you have had a positive outcome from your surgery. I had a Edwards aortic valve in Feb 2021. Before the surgery, I could comfortably swim 4 laps underwater on a single breath, now I struggle to exceed 2. It has been a live diminshing experience with constant fatigue, dizziness chest pain from the time of the surgery. I have sacked the cardiologist and regret ever consenting to the irreversible surgery. I rate my capacity at sbout 60% of my preoperative capacity.

I've always met surgeons having sky high length of arrogance. It's either because they have confidence over what they do. Surely they are the frontliners in case of medical practice. But to see a competent, composed and well behaved surgeon is surely the rarest combo a surgeon can possess. Great job Dr Lee. Huge respect to you.

I will never get that surgery, most of us have silent reflux, I had every dr tell me everything for months and now I cannot remember what I did, I ate 4 things for 3 days and used litmus paper to check alkaline, I had never heard of any of it, I just know I had a bad cough with clearing my throat non-stop, I had every pull, every diet, acv which messed up my teeth and throat, all drs say take an antacid, I said no I don’t have heartburn, they put me on a nebulizer and asthma meds, well I didn’t know I had asthma and I needed a special mix, if lasted only a little while, I didn’t want a band aid but a fix, this spincter mess, so I stayed on the internet and found some forum and I tried only what one person from Canada said to do, well it’s been 10 yrs and last week the same, the hacking cough, persistent throat clearing and I mean nonstop, I can kick myself cause I can’t remember what I did, nothing is working and I mean nothing, not a single med, meal, diet plan, exercise, nothing, not the alkaline or water, I have been at it for over a week, I just laid down on my side and i literally felt acid run up like water, I am going to get back in my asthma machine for a few days, probably a week, stay on the organic foods, use nasonex nonstop and I will see, I am going downstairs now to try the baking soda and water, I swear I ate what the guy from Canada told me, checked my alkaline level with the litmus paper and it was gone I mean within days, it’s now 10yrs and yes I had pizza, coffee etc and nothing, not until the nasty cold and allergies last week

The doctor says "The only 2 options for acid reflux are medications for life or surgical intervention"??? What planet is he living on? I'm disgusted. If you change your diet, exercise, lose weight, eat things that can heal, do away with foods that trigger. Well, just sayin', that's a hell of a lot of other excellent options. Or maybe go to a shaman if that doesn't work! YIKES. Meds and surgery should be the LAST option.
